Out of stock
This release is from a uniquely rare run at the distillery which is heavily peated, between Port Charlotte and Octomore. This Islay single malt was distilled on the 01/09/2009 and bottled on the 12/02/2020 at a cask strength of 63%. Matured for 10 years in a first fill ex-Bourbon barrel which provides an excellent opportunity for the distillate to be clearly expressed. A strong peat reek with sea shells and spice. The palate offers ripe stone fruit, apricots, and smoke.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant amber-gold with honeyed warmth and coppery glints, a sunlit hue that hints at depth and a touch of toast.
Nose
Peat smoke dominates the nose, fused with briny sea air, iodine and crushed sea shells. Vanilla and warm Bourbon oak provide gentle sweetness, while spice—clove and white pepper—lifts citrus zest and apricot skin, adding a subtle tropical warmth to a maritime, smoky profile.
Palate
Powerfully peated with a maritime bite of sea-shells and spice. Ripe stone fruits—apricots—emerge on the palate, tempered by a coastal smoke that lingers into a long, refined finish.
Finish
Long maritime finish of peat-rich smoke, sea-shell mineral notes, and peppery spice, slowly fading to apricot and ripe stone-fruit sweetness as the echo of smoke lingers.
