Tasting Notes
Nose
Mocha, praline truffles, earthy and peppery malt, forest floor/mushrooms, savoury meat/leather notes, sultana/raisin soaked in rum, polished oak, brown bread with salted burnt butter.
Palate
The demorera sugars and dried fruit here are juicy and sweet yet savoury with some earthy, dry nut shell like notes, peppery and leathery, spicy treacle-nut brittle, fig jam.
Finish
Peppery malt, nuts on a mulchy bracken forest floor with dried fungai, spicy fruitcake, mocha, marzipan and rich, chewy and long, long finish.
