The fifteen year old is matured in ex - Bourbon casks for twelve years and then spends its final three years in Oloroso Sherry casks. Always an accessible Islay Malt, the nose exudes raisin, stewed fruits, chocolate and a peaty smoky quality.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Sun-warmed amber with honey-gold highlights and a bronzed copper edge, a spectrum from pale gold to deep copper-amber.
Nose
Bright lemon zest and honeyed heather weave with Bowmore's signature peat smoke. The 15-year offers raisin, stewed fruits and chocolate entwined with peaty warmth from its Bourbon and Oloroso cask marriage, while the 18-year adds refined oak and coastal serenity. A balanced Islay nose—smoky, fruity and elegantly aged.
Palate
On the palate, lemon zest and heather honey greet Bowmore’s signature peat, brightening a gentle smoke. In the older tiers, raisin and stewed fruits mingle with cocoa and a touch of chocolate, carried by oak and sherry-softened sweetness. The finish remains long, mellow and refined, with a warm, lingering smoke.
