Bower Hill Whiskies commemorate the 'Battle of Bower Hill' the first bloodshed of the whisky rebellion in 1794. The Single Barrel Bourbon is a bottling of older stocks than the Barrel Reserve, and is bottled at a higher strength of 47% ABV.

Rich charred oak, chocolate, buttercorn with essence of vanilla spice on the nose.

The palate is big, full, lush and spicy with lots of plum, charredoak and apple.

The finish is long and smooth with a slightly warming character.

Rich charred oak and dark chocolate mingle with buttercorn, lifted by a touch of vanilla spice for a warm, inviting nose.

Palate

Big, full, and lush on the palate, it is spicy with pronounced plum, charred oak and apple, weaving through a rich, lingering warmth.

Finish

Long, satin-smooth and gently warming, this finish lingers with refined charm. Charred oak and cacao weave with vanilla-spice, while whispers of plum and apple leave a balanced, lingering warmth on the palate.

Bower Hill takes its name from the Battle of Bower Hill, a violent episode in the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion at the home of federal tax inspector General John Neville in western Pennsylvania. The modern whiskey uses that early American whiskey history as its reference point, with bottlings presented around Kentucky straight bourbon rather than a distillery-led backstory.
