Bower Hill Whiskies commemorate the 'Battle of Bower Hill' the first bloodshed of the whisky rebellion in 1794. The Barrel Reserve is the introduction to the range, bottled at 43% abv.
On the nose there's lots of big oak, vanilla and smokey caramel. Fruity notes are there too with pear and apple and a caramel burnt sugar note. The palate is well rounded with sweet vanilla and dried fruit, there's also a drying note, tobacco leaf and tannin. The finish is clean, long and intense with a touch of peppery spice.

Deep amber with a warm copper-gold glow and subtle mahogany edges.
Nose
Bold oak frames vanilla and smoky caramel, while orchard fruit glows with pear and apple. A caramel-burnt-sugar note threads through, offering warmth and a gentle sweetness that hints at age and barrel influence.
Palate
Well rounded on the palate, sweet vanilla and dried fruit mingle with a drying note of tobacco leaf, supported by firm tannins that lend structure and a poised, lingering finish.
Finish
Clean, long and intensely lingering, finishing with a bright touch of peppery spice.
