The vintage Macallan 18 Year Old was an annual release that spanned every vintage from 1965 to 1997.
Nowadays the surviving bottles have become true collectors' items, particularly the ones distilled in the 60's and 70's which are very rare to find anywhere.
Originally released in 1993 and exclusively aged in sherry wood from Jerez, Spain, for a minimum of 18 years and bottled for the UK market

Spiced notes of cinnamon and clove drift over velvety oak, while subtle leather and almond praline add a refined, tactile sweetness. Rich, inviting, and undeniably Macallan.

Opulent and velvety on the palate, this Macallan Sherry Oak delivers rich raisin and fig sweetness, with date, orange peel and dark chocolate. Toasted barley and tawny oak weave through warm cinnamon and nutmeg, yielding a lush, balanced mouthfeel. The finish is long and refined, with leather, cocoa and a persistent sherry glow.
Finish
Opulent and enduring, the finish unfurls with rich raisin, fig and dark fruit, seasoned by cacao and orange zest. It tapers to a refined, spiced oak glow, leaving a velvety warmth and a long whisper of sherry.
