Distillery Bottling

This superb whisky collection contains three 20cl bottles of Scotch single malt whisky from coastal distilleries.

The whiskies all display a subtle saltiness that is said to result from the distilleries' proximity to the sea. This pack contains unpeated whisky from Clynelish, and two peated whiskies from the Scottish Islands of Islay and Skye.

1 x 20cl - Clynelish - 14 Year Old

1 x 20cl - Caol Ila - 12 Year Old

1 x 20cl - Talisker - 10 Year Old.

Tasting Notes

Colour

From pale straw to warm golden amber, the trio glows with sunlit honey hues and subtle coppery edges, a maritime coastal shimmer.

Nose

Coastal perfume of sea air and salt spray, with mineral brine and waxy, honeyed malt. A gentle citrus lift and vanilla from the unpeated Clynelish mingle with subtle peat and maritime smoke from Caol Ila and Talisker, delivering an iodine-kissed, sea-breeze aroma that feels refined and inviting.

Palate

Saline and coastal on the palate, with sea spray and mineral brine carried by a subtle sweetness. Clynelish offers waxy fruit and bright citrus, Caol Ila adds measured peat, iodine and maritime depth, while Talisker delivers peppery, warming bite. The finish lingers with saline smoke and a refined coastal glow.

Finish

Long, maritime finish with saline mineral notes that cling like sea spray. A quiet waxy citrus lift from Clynelish lingers, while Caol Ila and Talisker contribute peat-smoked pepper that tapers to a briny, sun-warmed dryness. A final whisper of iodine seals the coastal glow.
