Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depths and coppery highlights.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma with raisin, fig and plum, mingled with orange zest, dark cocoa and toffee. Velvet vanilla and caramel glaze polished oak, while cinnamon and clove linger. A warm, rich sweetness and subtle leather hint at the cask’s depth and the whisky’s single-cask intensity.
Palate
Opulent and velvety, the palate delivers dark plum and raisin notes layered with toffee, cocoa and a whisper of orange zest. Sherried sweetness deepens with cinnamon and clove, underpinned by polished oak and a creamy, oily mouthfeel. The finish is long and warming, with cherry-kissed sweetness, nutmeg and cocoa lingering.
Finish
An opulent, long finish where the sherry influence lingers with warm cinnamon and clove, over dark fruit, cocoa and toasted almond, followed by velvety oak tannins, a refined lingering sweetness, and a final whisper of leather.
