Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with luminous honey tones and a warm copper edge.
Nose
Sun-warmed orchard fruits—pear, peach and green apple—rise with silky vanilla and creamy toffee. Spiced honey, a whisper of clove and cinnamon mingle with orange zest, while toasted American oak carries subtle almond notes. A touch of malt sweetness lingers, delivering polished richness that hints at the whisky’s cask strength and depth.
Palate
Opulent on the palate, vanilla and caramel mingle with creamy oak from the American hogshead. Pear and peach lift with lemon zest, while cinnamon, nutmeg and white pepper build a warming spice. Full-bodied and slightly waxy, with hints of dark chocolate and almond. A long, warming finish of oak and citrus spice.
Finish
Expansive, lasting finish with warm, oaken depth. Vanilla and caramel linger, while dark fruit and toasted spice unfold slowly. A peppery edge keeps it bright, finally fading to a velvety cocoa and espresso glow that lingers long after the swallow.
