Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with deep honey tones and a warm, sunlit copper edge.
Nose
Warm, inviting nose of toasted sugar and vanilla, with honeyed orchard fruit and a ribbon of spice—cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. Subtle peat smoke threads through, joined by a maritime, salty lift and rich oak from ex-Bourbon casks. Complex yet approachable, presenting sweetness, spice and smoke in poised harmony.
Palate
Silky and balanced, it opens with honeyed sweetness and vanilla-caramel from ex-Bourbon casks, then unfurls warm spices—ginger, cinnamon, clove—while subtle smoke threads from the peat-rich malts illuminate the palate. A touch of citrus zest and maritime salt adds lift, finishing long with integrated oak, spice, and a soft, persistent smoke.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish lingers with a vanilla-caramel sweetness from the ex-Bourbon casks, woven with gentle spice and a whisper of smoke that slowly fades to a warm, lasting glow.
