McConnell’s Cognac Cask Finish marks the final release in the brand's 5 Year Old Series. This exceptional whiskey is a refined blend of Irish Malt and Irish Grain Whiskeys. Aged for five years and initially matured in first-fill Bourbon casks, it is then carefully finished in select Cognac casks, handpicked by Master Distiller Graeme Millar.

Colour

Rich burnished amber with honey-gold hues and coppery sheen, a cognac-kissed glow.

Nose

Macerated orange peel, ripe banana and vanilla unfold on the nose, offering bright citrus, mellow fruit sweetness, and a creamy vanilla core.

Palate

On the palate, candied lemons and icing sugar open sweetly, then unfold into flame raisins, blonde chocolate, and dried pineapple, weaving a bright, confectionery sweetness that lingers.

Finish

An enduring, ginger-forward finish that blankets the palate with warming spice, slowly receding to a clean, refined fade, a quiet echo of citrus sweetness in the tail.
