Longmorn Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1964 Vintage
Out of stock
A Longmorn single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their prestigious Private Collection, this vintage was distilled in 1964 and matured for 46 years in a first-fill sherry hogshead before being released in 2010 at a robust 51.9% ABV with just 164 bottles produced.
First-fill sherry oak plays a defining role in shaping the spirit over decades, adding concentrated dried fruit, rich sweetness and warm spice to Longmorn’s naturally deep, malt-driven Speyside character.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, deep amber with mahogany depth and a coppery glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma of dried figs, raisins and prunes, lifted by candied orange and treacle. Toasted almond and walnut add depth, while warm spices—cinnamon and clove—kiss the malt-driven Speyside base, delivering a polished, luxurious bouquet with a long, fruit-bright finish.
Palate
An opulent, full-bodied palate of concentrated dried fruit—figs, raisins and dates—woven with toffee, dark chocolate and rich sherry oak. Velvety malt sweetness underpins a syrupy texture, while warming spices—cinnamon, clove and nutmeg—linger through the long, high-ABV finish, leaving fruit and cocoa notes to echo.
Finish
Long, velvety and richly sherried, the finish glides across the palate with dried fruit, toffee and warm spice. Raisin and fig linger, accented by subtle almond, fading into a refined, persistent warmth that holds on well after the sip.
