As part of their ongoing support of Mexican culture, the Jose Cuervo family commission an anual release of there Reserva de la Familia using Mexico-based artist to design original artwork for the collectors box each year.

Reserva de la Familia is the award-winning pinnacle of the Jose Cuervo family of tequilas. The finest 10-12 year-old agaves are hand-selected, and only the most flavorful inner portion of the agave’s heart is used to make this 100% Blue Agave Extra Añejo Tequila.

José Cuervo traces its roots to 1758, when José Antonio de Cuervo y Valdés was granted land to plant agave, and the brand’s formal commercial history begins in 1795, when Jose María Guadalupe de Cuervo received what Casa Cuervo describes as the first licence to produce and sell tequila. Another major milestone followed in 1812 with the founding of La Rojeña, which the company presents as the oldest active distillery in Latin America.
