Released in1997
Shortly after his success in St. Louis, Jack chose to once again showcase his whiskey, but this time on an international platform. The World Exposition of 1905 in Liege, Belgium, is where he next entered in competition, and once again judges awarded his Tennessee Whiskey a gold medal.
This bottle commemorates that achievement. Beginning in 1996 and continuing for the next 10 years, the Jack Daniel Distillery released its Gold Medal Series of commemorative bottles. Comprised of seven unique designs, each bottle in this series celebrates a different gold medal won by the Distillery. In the U.S., the series featured 750ml bottles filled with 90 proof whiskey.
International markets offer these bottles only in a 1 litre size, with the exception of the first bottle in the series which was available only in the 750ml size.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant amber-gold with honeyed warmth and a coppery glow.
Nose
Rich vanilla and caramel rise from toasted American oak, mingling with soft corn sweetness and a whisper of maple. Subtle spice, a touch of citrus zest, and a polished, charcoal-filtered core lend a refined, inviting warmth to the bouquet.
Palate
Silky on the palate, this Tennessee whiskey opens with warm caramel and vanilla, layered over toasted oak. Rich honey and brown sugar emerge, joined by cocoa and subtle spice. The finish is long and refined, with a gentle, charcoal-mellow backbone, a touch of fruit, and lingering vanilla and oak.
Finish
Long and warm, the finish carries vanilla and caramel that slowly gives way to toasted oak. A quiet, spicy echo lingers on the palate, leaving a silky, refined glow that persists with every sip.
