Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, regal glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma blooms with ripe dried fruits—figs, raisins and dates—complemented by walnut, cocoa and toasted oak. A bright lift of orange zest and almond threads through a velvety vanilla sweetness, finishing with hints of leather and quiet spice.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied on the palate, with a refined sweetness that lingers. Dried fruits—raisins, fig, date—layer with toffee, caramel and almond over a sherried oak backbone. Subtle spice emerges—cinnamon, nutmeg, clove—rounding to a warm, lasting finish with a touch of cocoa and leather. Classic Haig restraint, polished by time.
Finish
Silky, long finish of sherried sweetness, with dried orange, fig and almond, a whisper of cocoa, and a warm, oak-led fade.
