This 30 year old has been derived from a selection of the rarest casks found in their traditional Dunnage Warehouses. The change of distillery owners through three decades has led to important learnings through time. This preservation and growth of knowledge has been pivotal in crafting this elegant single malt. This expression is an Extremely Scarce Batch made up of only 300 bottles.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Warming winter spices dominate with cinnamon, clove and ginger.

Palate

Burnished oak gives way to soaked raisins, sweet sultanas, wood spices, dark fruit and citrus.

Finish

Liquorice and aniseed appear later balanced with sweet oak.

Glenturret
(glen-TURRET) Glenturret traces its recorded history to 1763, when a rental document referred to Thurot Distillery, the earliest known name for the site. In 1814, the distillery was sold to Thomas MacInnes, who renamed it The Hosh Distillery, and the Glenturret name was introduced in 1873. Its history was not uninterrupted: production stopped in 1923 during the difficult years that followed Prohibition and the wider downturn in Scotch, before James Fairlie bought and revived the distillery in 1957 after more than 30 silent years.
