Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a coppery glow and mahogany-tinged edges, a bronze-burnished hue that glows with rich, sunlit warmth.
Nose
An opulent, glass-staining aroma of dried fruits and aged oak. Rich sherry sweetness threads through date and fig, with orange zest, honeyed vanilla and burnt sugar. Deep cocoa and espresso mingle with walnut as warm spices—clove and cinnamon—emerge. Leather, cedar and a hint of tobacco echo the bottle’s centuries of patience, yielding a hushed, dignified perfume of extraordinary maturity.
Palate
Silky and opulent on the palate, this Glenlivet reveals velvety dried fig and raisin, brightened by orange zest and toasted almond. Sherry-cask richness yields dark chocolate, espresso and warm spice, all carried on a polished oak backbone. The mouthfeel is exquisitely weighted, delivering a long, refined finish with nutmeg and gentle caramel.
Finish
An opulent, impeccably long finish that glides on satin oak. Layers of dried fruit, honeyed vanilla and toasted almond unfold, softened by a delicate spice and a citrus lift. The warmth lingers, fading to a refined whisper of sweetness and polished oak.
