Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and a coppery glow, hinting at sherry-dark richness.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma with dark fruits at the core—raisin, fig, and cherry compote—lifted by orange zest and a whisper of burnt sugar. Notes of cocoa, espresso, and baking spices (cinnamon, clove) unfold over rich oak, with a touch of almond nougat and leather. The elevated ABV deepens the sweetness and warmth, inviting a slow, luxurious swirl of aroma.
Palate
Rich and opulent on the palate, it coats with velvety sherry sweetness—raisin, fig and dark praline—balanced by polished oak and a whisper of orange zest. Full-bodied and warming at 56.8%, it unfurls cinnamon and clove spice, then lingers with cocoa, espresso and dried fruit, finishing long and gently drying.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of ex-Sherry depth: dark fruitcake, plum and raisin, with dark chocolate and toasted almond, and a hint of orange zest. Spices—cinnamon and clove—linger as the high-ABV warmth softens, leaving a velvety oak and a lingering, nutty sweetness.
