A former winner of the Whisky Magazine "Bourbon of the year award" and the only Bourbon distillery to have two seperate mash bill recipes and use 5 different yeast strains and in both Rye is the other dominant grain after Corn along with malted barley.
The single barrel is made up from 60% Corn 35% Rye and 5% Malted Barley and the Rye influence gives this great value Bourbon a lovely mint & spice kick.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm copper-gold glow and a touch of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Hot blackcurrant cordial opens, mingling with dark honey on rye bread, sweet liquorice and breakfast syrup. Charred oak lends a soft smoke, while menthol and cherry tobacco introduce cool spice. Stewed plums and cinnamon weave a lush, orchard-warm invitation to taste.
Palate
Spiced and aromatic stewed plums, mint chocolate, red liquorice, lavender honey, vanilla toast, creamy and syrupy sweet oak.
Finish
Sweet oak and chewy charred notes frame a plum jam on rye toast, with mint, black cherry and chocolate lingering into a long, luxurious finish.
