Palate

Silky entry of vanilla and caramel, with orchard fruit and a citrus lift. Warm spice—cinnamon and clove—pairs with soft oak, yielding a balanced mid-weight mouthfeel. The finish is smooth and subtly sweet, with caramel and lingering spice.

Finish

A long, warm finish that coats the palate with vanilla and caramel, then unfolds into toasted oak and subtle rye spice. Elegant and persistent, with a creamy sweetness that lingers, softened by hints of baking spice and a gentle resinous note.

Four Roses
Four Roses dates to 1888, when Paul Jones Jr. trademarked the name in Kentucky after moving his business to Louisville’s Whiskey Row. Its history took several unusual turns after that: the Paul Jones Company bought Frankfort Distilling in 1922, which helped Four Roses survive Prohibition through medicinal whiskey sales, and Seagram later acquired the brand, eventually withdrawing its straight bourbon from the US while keeping Four Roses strong in export markets such as Europe and Japan.
