Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with caramel-honey depth, edged in coppery bronze with a sun-kissed, lacquered glow.
Nose
Aromas of ancient oak and refined sweetness unfold in harmony: polished wood, sherry depth, and toffee mingle with orange zest, dried fruit, and vanilla. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts with leather and tobacco, a wisp of coastal salt, and a long, elegant finish hinting at decades of maturation across five rare drams.
Palate
On the palate, a stately aged character unfurls: dark fig and dried fruit meet honeyed caramel, underpinned by rich oak and a sherried depth. Creamy vanilla threads through cocoa and tobacco, lifted by a whisper of spice and citrus zest. The finish is long and waxy, with a warm, refined echo of decades in the cask.
Finish
Stately and refined, the finish extends with generous length. Velvet oak frames dried fruit and a poised spice, fading into a warm, softly sweet echo that lingers long on the palate—a dignified testament to half a century of maturation across five exceptional drams.
