Tasting Notes
Colour
Sunlit amber-gold with honeyed brightness and a coppery depth, a warm, inviting glow.
Nose
Coastal smoke and sea spray open the nose, giving way to honeyed orchard fruit, vanilla and toffee. Subtle sherry sweetness lingers with waxy barley and polished oak, echoing the vanished distilleries—Brora’s brine, Lochside’s refinement, Pittyvaich’s delicate fruit—in a refined, inviting bouquet.
Palate
Coastal peat and waxy mineral edge open to a tapestry of sherry-rich warmth, ripe orchard fruit, and vanilla-soaked oak. Subtle citrus, spice, and a gentle maritime halo weave through the five drams, finishing long, elegant, and quietly complex.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish carries a coastal breeze, sea-salt and iodine softening into smoky peat, then giving way to sherried sweetness. Dried fruit, honey and oak weave together before a final kiss of spice, leather and warm tobacco that lingers with elegant restraint.
