Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with bronze-copper undertones.
Nose
A dense plume of peat smoke rises, mingling with sea-salt tang and medicinal iodine. Beneath, charred barley and toasted wood meet caramel, vanilla and honey, while a whisper of damp earth lends depth to this Turf Mor peated Irish whiskey.
Palate
Roaring peat coats the palate with dense, medicinal smoke—tarry and ash-laden. Maritime iodine and sea spray weave through a core of vanilla, honey and subtle toffee, balancing the power with sweetness. Peppery spice drives the finish, with intense warmth and a briny, charcoal-edged aftertaste that lingers with smoky richness.
Finish
Long, smoky finish dominated by turf peat, with a warming kiss of charred barley and coastal salt. The 58.2% heat keeps the peat focused, releasing wisps of vanilla and leather as the smoke evolves. A dry, lingering ember resolves into ash and sea air, leaving a refined, resonant peat reverberation.
