The first member of Clonakilty's Cask Series. Comprised of a premium Irish Malt and nine year old Irish Grain, then gently cut and finished in Port Casks from The Douro Valley at their Atlantic Ocean warehouse.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich copper-amber with a ruby sheen and mahogany undertones; a warm, luminous glow.

Nose

Fresh, sweet apples and ripe peaches mingle with vanilla, creamy and inviting, with a gentle hint of wood character in the background.

Palate

Very fruity with cherries and raisins, backed by soft spices; a hint of chilli heat and cardamom threads through, adding warmth and a lingering, refined spice.

Finish

Mid-length finish that lingers with gentle spice and a delicate hint of chocolate, leaving a warm, cocoa-kissed echo on the palate.
