Christian Drouin Experimental Batch #9 - Arran Angels Calvados 13 Year Old

Drouin and the Arran distillery have known each other for many years and have been exchanging casks for almost two decades. This 13 year old Pays d’Auge Calvados was placed in 6 old French oak casks that had previously contained Arran Whisky.

On the nose, this calvados is delicate. It expresses all the aromas of apples, from ripe apples to apples fried in butter. It then opens up with notes of malt, apricot and pear. The palate is full of finesse, with a perfect balance between roundness and acidity. The finish has hints of hazelnut and cereal.
