Christian Drouin Experimental Batch #11 - Chichibu Angels Calvados 12 Year Old

This latest release in Christian Drouin’s Experimental range once again ventures into unique collaborations with Japanese whisky. Chichibu Angels is a distinctive blend, combining 12-year-old Pays d’Auge calvados aged in five rare casks previously used for the renowned Japanese single malt, Chichibu. The calvados matured in these casks for periods ranging from 4 to 10 months.

The result is a refined and harmonious fusion of aromas, marrying the delicate, rare character of Japanese single malt with the rich, elegant essence of Normandy’s finest eau-de-vie.

Tasting Notes:

Brilliant golden hue. The nose opens with roasted apple and quince jam, gradually giving way to notes of fine wood and powdery grains. On the palate, it is intense and well-balanced, with flavors of barley husk, apple peel, and a touch of citrus.
