Tasting Notes

Nose

Predominant aromas of noble oak – mahogany – roasted coffee, with saline and mineral notes, combined with unmistakable signs of a very old Amontillado, including hints of hazelnuts, walnuts, and toasted chestnuts.

Palate

Silky and dry, with an intensity reminiscent of almond and hazelnut flavours.

Carlos I
Carlos I is a Spanish Brandy de Jerez from Osborne, whose roots go back to El Puerto de Santa María in Cádiz, where the family business was founded in 1772. The Carlos I story began in 1889, when a master winemaker discovered old casks of brandy in the cellar and named the spirit after King Charles I of Spain, inspired by Titian’s 1548 equestrian portrait after the Battle of Mühlberg.
