A Solera Gran Reserva PX Cask Carlos I brandy is a premium Spanish spirit finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, adding rich dried fruit, toffee and sweet spice character to the traditional solera-aged base.

The brand’s Gran Reserva style reflects extended ageing under the solera system, where successive generations of oak casks contribute depth, smoothness and complexity.

Nose

Notes of caramelised oak, toasted cocoa nibs, black liquorice, in perfect harmony with the notes of sultanas and fig bread from the Solera PX Viejo.

Carlos I
Carlos I is a Spanish Brandy de Jerez from Osborne, whose roots go back to El Puerto de Santa María in Cádiz, where the family business was founded in 1772. The Carlos I story began in 1889, when a master winemaker discovered old casks of brandy in the cellar and named the spirit after King Charles I of Spain, inspired by Titian’s 1548 equestrian portrait after the Battle of Mühlberg.
