Created in 1763, Hine is proudly one of the oldest houses in the Cognac region and is named after Thomas Hine of Dorset. Hine’s philosophy of creating the highest quality Cognacs, respects the Maison’s heritage and terroir.

H by Hine VSOP is produced from grapes grown in the Petite and Grande Champagne areas. This blend has been crafted specially for cocktails, delivering the Cognac’s taste and liveliness without overpowering the mix. Lively notes of ripe apricot and yellow fruits are combined with an intense nose of flowers and mild spices.

Hine
Hine traces its roots to 1763 in Jarnac on the Charente, making it one of the older houses in Cognac. Its defining figure arrived later, when Thomas Hine, an Englishman from Dorset, came to France in 1791 during the Revolution, married into the business, and the house eventually took his name in 1817.
