Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery sheen and a kiss of mahogany at the rim, sunlit and richly hued from the sherry cask.
Nose
Opulent sherry perfume greets the nose—ripe raisin, fig and date mingle with dark chocolate and treacle. Hints of orange zest, vanilla and almond drift over polished oak and walnut, while spice threads of cinnamon and clove lend warmth. A refined, mature sweetness lingers, with a subtle leather undertone.
Palate
Silky on the palate, this 26-year-old unfurls a rich sherry sweetness over a velvety body. Dark fruit compote of prune, fig and cherry mingles with milk chocolate, toffee and toasted almond. Elegant oak weaves spice—cinnamon and clove—through the mid-palate, delivering warmth without heaviness. A long, cocoa-laced finish with orange zest and a whisper of resinous oak.
Finish
Silky, long finish, sherry-driven sweetness weaving with fig and raisin, cocoa and orange zest. Spices unfold—cinnamon and clove—before a refined oak and subtle tobacco echo, leaving a warm, velvet afterglow.
