About Christian Drouin
Christian Drouin is a family-owned Calvados house in Normandy, with the business beginning in 1960 when Christian Drouin senior bought the Fiefs Sainte-Anne farm on the hills above Honfleur. He started distilling cider from the estate with the help of local distiller Pierre Pivet, building stocks for nearly twenty years before Christian Drouin junior joined the business and began commercial sales in 1979 with a stronger export focus.
The house is based in the Pays d’Auge and works with family orchards between Gonneville-sur-Honfleur and Coudray-Rabut, growing around thirty cider-apple varieties. Its Pays d’Auge Calvados is made by double distillation in copper stills, and the business remains closely tied to traditional Norman apple spirits while still being run by the Drouin family’s third generation.
