Made from 100% Pinot Noir Grand Cru, from La Côte aux Enfants. This historic parcel of land, which was established with great perseverance by Jacques Bollinger himself between 1926 and 1934. Aware of its potential, it became Champagne Bollinger’s ambition to produce a great vintage champagne of 100% Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes

Nose

An expressive nose full of notes of brioche and crème fraiche which evolve into delicate marzipan aromas. After some time in the glass, hints of acacia honey and pâte de fruits emerge.

Palate

Remarkably textured, bringing a generous creaminess to the palate. Notes of toasted hazelnuts blend seamlessly into a chocolatey finish which is enhanced by dried fruits such as apricot and delicate notes of quince jelly. A lovely freshness, more bright acidity than saline, brings exceptional complexity.

Bollinger was founded in Aÿ in 1829 by Athanase de Villermont, Joseph “Jacques” Bollinger and Paul Renaudin. The house has remained closely tied to the Bollinger family and is one of Champagne’s long-established independent, family-owned producers. Its connection with Britain is also longstanding, with a Royal Warrant first granted by Queen Victoria in 1884.
