Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep tawny amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge, a sunset glow hinting at port-aged richness.
Nose
Peat smoke lingers, layered with tawny port sweetness. Rich fig and raisin notes mingle with dark chocolate, while spiced orange zest, vanilla, and toasted oak lift the aroma. A maritime whisper of salt and smoke completes a substantial, warming nose that hints at winter coziness and summer brightness.
Palate
Peat smoke unfolds on the palate, mingling with rich tawny-port fruit. Dried fig, raisin and plum drive sweetness, complemented by velvety toffee, dark chocolate and lightly spiced oak. A confident warmth from 50% ABV lingers as the smoke fades, leaving a long, balanced finish where port influence and peat meet in elegant harmony.
Finish
Elegant peat smoke lingers, braided with tawny port sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and date unfold against dark chocolate and toffee, while a subtle spice threads through. The finish is long and warming, drying softly as the port notes fade into a refined ember of smoke and fruit.
