"A well balanced and full flavoured blend with a slight hint of smokiness and nuttiness. Deep and rich in colour with notes of toffee, vanilla and pear, while its maltiness and grain flavour are subtly underlying and delicate. A long finish that leaves you wanting more."
Named after a character in the Walter Scott novel "Rob Roy" and a blend with one of the highest malt to grain percentages that i know of (60% malt/40% grain) most of which was Glenmorangie and Glen Moray malt.
95 points in Jim Murray's whisky bible
This superb blend that was affectionately known as BNJ to those in the know but now sadly delisted and very hard to find, even for us!
Featured in Ian Buxton's 101 whiskies to try before you die book.
