Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a burnished mahogany core and sunlit gold rims; a warm, honeyed copper glow.
Nose
Dusty warehouse whispers in rich vanilla and caramel, lifted by orange zest and citrus oils. From the long bourbon cask emerge dried figs and sultanas, toffee and almond, interwoven with leather, tobacco and polished oak. Cinnamon and clove drift through a waxy, resinous veil, sealing the aroma of a 41-year-old, well-traveled cask.
Palate
Silky entry of vanilla bean and toffee, rising into honeyed oak. Creamy texture evolves into warm spices—cinnamon, nutmeg, white pepper—while notes of dried citrus and almond persist. Velvet mouthfeel with a substantial body, finishing long on caramel, oak, and refined warmth.
Finish
Long, silky finish that unfolds with vanilla and toffee, wrapped in toasted oak and a restrained spice. A warm, creamy sweetness lingers, gradually fading to a soft oak whisper that invites another generous sip.
