Appleton Estate has documented rum production dating back to 1749 in Jamaica’s Nassau Valley, making it the oldest continuously operating rum distillery in Jamaica. The estate is closely tied to its location, with rum produced from molasses, fermented and distilled on site, then tropically aged in Jamaica. J. Wray & Nephew acquired Appleton Estate in 1916, and the business later became part of Campari Group in 2012.
