Bottled for ODDBINS in 2008 from a single cask as part of their Against The Grain series. Although most internet forums state that this is a Benromach, we have it on good authority that it DEFINITELY ISN'T.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep treacle-amber with mahogany depth and coppery-gold highlights, a warm, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Opulent treacle and burnt sugar rise from the glass, a dense toffee sweetness that coats the nose. Sherried notes of raisin and fig mingle with cocoa, orange zest and polished oak, while a warm grainy backbone and faint spice lend depth and an inviting, lingering finish.
Palate
Silky, syrupy on the palate, with treacle and burnt sugar giving way to fig and prune. Sherried warmth coats the grain base, releasing orange zest, cocoa nibs and dark chocolate. A kiss of spice—cinnamon and clove—lingers, while creamy oak and a subtle peppery lift keep it balanced and refined.
Finish
Long, treacle-toffee finish with rich dark fruit, orange zest and Christmas-spice. Sherried warmth coats the palate, lingering as cocoa and toasted oak emerge, fading to a refined, gently drying end.
