Willett's Straight Rye Small Batch Whiskey 3 Year Old
Out of stock
A blend of 51% rye mash bill and a 74% rye mash bill.
The three Year Estate Bottled Straight Rye Whiskey from Willett is the product of the distillery on the actual estate.
Willett's parent company, Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, has been sourcing and bottling whiskies since the mid-1980s, bottling them under a series of well-respected labels (Rowan's Creek, Noah's Mill, among others).
The company decided to resume production of it's own distillate in the early-2010s, and this is the first batch of Willett's rye whiskey. Bottled at 53.7% ABV.

Burnished amber with copper-gold glow.
Nose
Rye-forward and bright, this nose sizzles with cracked pepper, cinnamon and other baking spices, layered over toasted oak, vanilla and caramel. Subtle citrus zest keeps it lively, while a warm grainy core hints at its age and estate bottling. Bold, refined and inviting, it promises a lively, peppery mouthfeel to come.
Palate
Peppery, high-rye profile dominates the palate, delivering bright cinnamon, clove and black pepper with a surprisingly silky mouthfeel. Caramelized vanilla and toffee mingle with a whisper of orange zest, while oak provides subtle tannins. Full-bodied and warming, the 53.7% ABV carries a long, lingering finish of spice and rye sweetness.
Finish
Long, rye-spice finish with peppery bite and hints of vanilla and toasted oak. Warmth lingers, gradually drying to a clean, elegant finale.
