The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of Macallan's Sherry Oak Collection which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.
This is a scarce Italian bottling from 2003 complete with it's original tube. These classic Sherry 18 year olds are becoming more sought after on what seems like a weekly basis. Bottled for Italian importers Giovinetti & Figli of Milan.

Opulent sherry aroma cloaks dried fruit—raisins and figs—with orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate. Nutty almond and warm mahogany oak join ginger and cinnamon, delivering a spicy, refined, well-aged bouquet that speaks to Jerez cask maturation.
Palate
Full-bodied and richly textured on the palate, mature oak underpins bold ginger spice and sweet raisin, with a velvety mouthfeel and a warm, mahogany-hued finish that lingers.
Finish
Long, opulent finish; warm oak sedates into lingering raisin and ginger, with a sherried sweetness that fades to a refined mahogany warmth. Persistent spice lingers, weaving the palate toward another indulgent sip.
