Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and coppery highlights.
Nose
A sumptuous, sherried bouquet unfolds in layers: prune and fig mingle with dark chocolate and treacle, settled in polished oak. Waxy citrus hints from Clynelish provide bright orange zest, while spice—nutmeg and clove—drifts through a velvety warmth. Leather, coffee and vanilla complete an aged, antique aroma from five rare malts.
Palate
Opulent and multi-faceted, the palate unfurls with dried fig and raisin, dark chocolate, and treacle, lifted by orange zest and vanilla. A full, waxy mouthfeel carries dense sherry-influenced depth, with spice, leather and a salt-kissed tang. The finish is long and warming, threaded with espresso and tobacco, and cinched by refined oak.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with sherried depth: dried fruits—raisin, fig—plus orange zest, dark chocolate and toffee, tempered by warm spices. Silky oak lingers, slowly fading into a refined, resilient warmth.
