Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (1990's Bottling) (35cl)
Out of stock
This bourbon changed the way people think about the spirit, all because one man changed how he made it. Bill Samuels, Sr. simply wanted a whisky he would enjoy drinking. Never bitter or sharp, Maker's Mark is crafted with soft red winter wheat instead of the usual rye, creating a one-of-a-kind, full-flavoured bourbon.
To ensure consistency, every barrel is rotated by hand, and the bourbon is aged to taste, not time. Each bottle of Maker’s is still hand-dipped in its signature red wax at the distillery in Loretto, KY, just as Bill, Sr. would have wanted.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-red highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Vanilla and caramel lead, giving way to creamy toffee and warm wheat. Sweet corn sweetness mingles with honeyed notes, while soft oak adds quiet structure. A whisper of orange zest and gentle spice brightens the bouquet, yielding a velvety, confectionery nose that speaks to Maker’s Mark’s signature smoothness and absence of sharp rye bite.
Palate
Silky, creamy entry with a soft wheat backbone that smooths every edge. Caramel, vanilla and toffee unfold on the palate, supported by gentle oak and a whisper of orchard fruit. Rich but never bitter, it finishes warm and lingering, with subtle spice and a creamy, mouthwatering sweetness.
Finish
Silky and inviting, the finish releases vanilla and caramel atop soft oak, with a gentle sweetness that lingers long and warm, carried by a velvety mouthfeel to a clean, refined conclusion.
