Colour

Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights.

Nose

An inviting, syrupy nose of pancake syrup and caramel, with popcorn and toasted oak. Sweet maple-glazed nuts and caramel corn mingle with a warming kiss of spice and a touch of heat.

Palate

Silky, pancake-syrup sweetness coats the palate with maple, caramel and vanilla, supported by toasted oak. Caramel corn and popcorn echo the nose, while a measured spice and warm, lingering finish deliver a caramel-nut glow.

Finish

Long, syrupy finish of maple and caramel that lingers over toasted oak. A warm kiss of spice and gentle heat persists, with echoes of popcorn and nutty sweetness fading into a velvety caramel glow.

The label was developed by Thompson Willett in the 1960s and remains one of Willett’s more traditional American whiskey names, sitting alongside related labels such as Old Bardstown, Rowan’s Creek, Noah’s Mill and Pure Kentucky.
