When it comes to making Knob Creek Bourbon, there's a lot of waiting but hardly any sitting around. While each vatting patiently ages in white oak, the distillers continue to raise the standards, fulfilling their commitment to full flavour.
The result? An unflinching balance of deep, pre-Prohibition style Bourbon with a robust oak taste, complimented with hints of smooth vanilla and layered caramel. Rich, sweet, woody, full-bodied, almost fruity.
Basil Haydens Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 40% ABV
Basil Hayden's Bourbon has a high rye content (30%) in the mashbill which makes this drier and spicier than your average bourbon. It is incredibly easy going and would be a good introduction to the delights of the other Jim Beam range and a prelude to trying straight rye. A mellow and easy drinking Bourbon and a real mint-chocolate festival in your mouth.
Booker's 2024-01 Batch Bourbon Whiskey 52.2% ABV
The first Booker’s batch of 2024 is called the Springfield Batch to honor Booker Noe's hometown of Springfield, Kentucky. This rural town in central Kentucky is where Booker Noe was born and raised. He worked on many farms when he was growing up, from the hay fields to tobacco patches. The batch is made up of 5 production dates stored in 4 different aging warehouses. The age is 7 years, 7 Months, 8 days and is 124.5 proof.

The nose unfolds in layered warmth: vanilla-toffee, orange zest, toasted barley, and resinous oak, with a final spark of peppery spice.
Palate
Knob Creek yields a deep, oak-forward palate with vanilla and caramel, full-bodied and luxurious. Basil Hayden’s brings a dry, spicy lift with mint-chocolate hints and easy sweetness. Booker’s hits hard with bold vanilla, dark fruit, pepper and toasted oak. Together, the bundle spans refined spice to unabashed warmth, finishing long with caramel and oak.
