Green Isle Deluxe Blended Islay Scotch Whisky
Out of stock
A smoky blended Scotch whisky featuring Islay malt, alongside Speyside malt and Lowland grain whiskies. An approachable blend, showing smokey depth as well as light fruit and fragrant barley. Produced by The Character of Islay Whisky Company (they also produced the Aerolite Lyndsay Islay malt.) This expression is named after early descriptions of Islay, as well as from the title of Neil Gunn's book The Green Isle of the Great Deep, which talks of an island off the west coast of Scotland, accessible only though a whirlpool.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm honey-gold glow.
Nose
Soft peat smoke drifts over ripe orchard fruit and pale barley, with a gentle vanilla-honey sweetness. Green apple and pear meet citrus zest, while a whisper of sea breeze and coastal brine lifts the aroma. Subtle spice and light oak add warmth, yielding an approachable, balanced Islay-smoked nose.
Palate
Silky peat and coastal smoke weave with light fruit and fragrant barley. Lemon zest and green apple lift the mid-palate, while vanilla–caramel sweetness anchors the finish. A maritime whisper and gentle ash linger, finishing with subtle spice and a clean, refined warmth.
Finish
Peat-kissed smoke lingers with a teasing note of orchard fruit and fragrant barley. A coastal warmth softens the palate, vanilla and light oak gliding in the background as the finish stretches long, smoky, and impeccably balanced.
