Quite rightly seen as a benchmark for well aged Sherry Cask matured whisky. Most distilleries scaled back production in the 1970's and 80's, but the Grant family had the foresight to keep the stills running. As a result, they have access to some of the best stocks of old whisky in the business, and are able to offer them at jaw droppingly reasonable prices.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany undertones and a coppery glow, a warm, inviting shade that hints at Sherry-Cask maturation.
Nose
Complex yet refined, the nose offers marmalade and honey, espresso notes, sherry and toasted nuts, with a delicate touch of oak tannins.
Palate
Full-bodied and robust, sherry and oak contend for dominance yet remain perfectly balanced. The palate unfolds with toasted nut, dark coffee and dried fruit notes, supported by a malty backbone, finishing long, dry and subtly chocolatey.
Finish
An intense, long-lasting finish that remains dry and malty, with a final, lingering note of dark chocolate at the back of the mouth.
