Glen Grant Gordon & MacPhail Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky 8 Year Old · 2008 Vintage
Out of stock
A 2008 vintage of two 8 year old first fill sherry hogsheads bottled at cask strength that is more like a whisky twice its age from the wonderful Glen Grant distillery in Speyside and bottled by the ever reliable Gordon & Macphail.
Feels both aged and youthfull at the same time! Great mouthfeel and yet quite mellow for the ABV, lip smacking lovelyness from first nose to last sip.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a warm copper sheen and mahogany edges, a luxurious, honeyed color that hints at the sherry cask’s depth.
Nose
Dundee fruit cake mingles with sherry-soaked orange segments, dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut, freshly polished new leather, ripe fig and espresso-soaked sponge with a tiramisu-like whisper, all edged by old-fashioned toffee.
Palate
A big and bold woody-sherried delivery with dates in syrup, toasted nuts, honey on brown bread, thick cut blood orange marmalade, plum pudding.
Finish
Dry and nutty, with toasted hazelnuts and orange zest paving a path through espresso and sherry-soaked dried fruit. Glace cherries, bread pudding and chocolate-covered raisins mingle with ripe figs in honey. A long, chewy finish that lingers warmly on the palate.
