Glann ar Mor distillery was built in 1999 by Jean Donnay. Based in Brittany, the name means “by the sea”. The distillery produces a more traditional whisky than most contemporary Scotch distilleries, using worm tub condensers and direct fire stills.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with honeyed straw highlights and a warm coppery glow.
Nose
An enticing bouquet of plums and caramelised pears, lightly entwined with smoke. Vanilla swirls lushly, opening to a briny, saline whisper.
Palate
Oily, almost velvety on the palate, it unfurls banoffee pie notes: banana with caramel and a touch of cream, woven with intense fruit and a satin, lingering richness.
Finish
A lingering finish of ginger, liquorice and vetiver, leaving a warm, earthy glow.
