Foursquare Absolutio Rum 15 Year Old

Foursquare Absolutio is the 9th opus in this series, and has been produced by blending 2 separate batches that have been double matured: the first batch, a blend of pot still and column distilled eaux-de-vie, aged in ex-bourbon casks for 15 years, and the second batch, distilled using the same technique, but this time aged in ex-bourbon barrels for 10 years, and then also aged in ex-port casks for 5 years.
All the maturing was carried out on site, in the tropical climate of Barbados. The final blend produced some 4,800 bottles, which were bottled in Barbados in February 2024, at 62% abv.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Intensely aromatic and exotic. Notes of ripe tropical fruit (mango, banana), toasted nuts, coconut and cane sugar.
Palate
Rich and luscious. Notes of citrus, nutmeg, hyacinth, caramel, cedar and bitter chocolate.
Finish
Long and precise. Candied apricot, treacle, slate, cocoa, pepper and a touch of ginger.
