ortaleza Winter Blend 2024 is a limited-edition reposado from the esteemed Fortaleza distillery in the highlands of Jalisco. Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave, it reflects the brand’s dedication to traditional methods—including roasting in stone ovens, tahona crushing, open-air fermentation, and double copper-pot distillation.

This year’s Winter Blend stands out for its innovative dual-barrel aging. A portion begins as Still‑Strength Blanco (46 % ABV), aged in ex-Spanish Cream Sherry French oak casks for two back‑to‑back four‑month fills. This is then blended with reposado aged in ex-American whiskey barrels (3‑month and 10‑month batches), culminating in a 46.5 % ABV reposado expression, with around 10,400 bottles released in late 2024.
