Islay whiskies are invariably smoky and peaty, and this tasting set gives you a chance to try the best of the best.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Sunlit amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, burnished glow.

Nose

On the nose, Islay character unfurls with a bold peat smoke that lingers like coastal fog. Briny sea air and iodine balance with mineral ash, while subtle hints of leather, dried fruit and vanilla from sherry casks weave in, adding a glossy sweetness beneath the smoke.

Palate

Bold Islay peat smoke unfurls on the palate, wrapped in coastal brine and iodine. Sweet malt and sherry depth emerge, with cocoa, caramel, and a touch of spice. Silky yet assertive textures lead to a long, smoky finish, leaving charred oak and mineral salt lingering.

Finish

Long, smoky finish that lingers with peaty depth and coastal brine. Sea salt and ash persist, tempered by a whisper of sweetness and warm oak, fading slowly into a clean, refined afterglow.
